VFR Landsmarks of Carinthia, Austria

The southernmost province of Austria, Carinthia, offers some of the most fascinating flying experiences due to its unique location and landmarks.

This Landmarks Package adds essential VFR (Visual Flight Rules) points that are well-known and frequently used by VFR pilots flying gliders, light aircraft, and helicopters.

Currently, the package includes the following models, all meticulously crafted with high detail and precise measurements for an authentic VFR experience:

Gipfelkreuz Grossglockner: The summit cross on Austria’s highest mountain.
Sendeturm Dobratsch Villacher Alpe: The highest radio tower in Austria, standing 112 meters tall on the Villacher Alpe.
Sendeturm Goldeck: Another significant radio tower in the region.
Aussichtsturm Pyramidenkogel: The most iconic tourist attraction in Austria, featuring the world’s highest wooden observation tower at 100 meters on Pyramidenkogel.“
Gipfelkreuz Mittagskogel: An iconic mountain located in the southern region near Faaker See. (added in v1.1.0)
Landing area Mittagskogel: Helicopter landing site near the Bertahütte cabin. (added in v1.1.0)

Known Issues with World Update 18 With World Update 18, the Dobratsch radio tower and Pyramidenkogel were introduced by Gaya Simulations and Asobo. However, since the scale and height of these structures do not align with the accuracy of our models, we are currently exploring a potential update to replace them with our scenery package. Additionally, we are encountering issues on Xbox consoles during testing, as the scenery priority cannot be modified on these platforms. Consequently, the Xbox release has been canceled for now.

Update in the Development Pipeline. We are currently working on an update that will add additional scenery objects and landmarks to this package. Since version 1.1.0 has not yet been released, the Mittagskogel scenery will be included in the next update.

Package Info The aim of this package is to continually add more landmarks from Carinthia through future updates. Progress and updates will be shared on our Facebook page and website.
